GWS won't be beaten.

They look very ominous this year. 1sr rounders all over the ground. Another he ar older and bigger. They should be thinking top 2.

CEY placed in the Long Term Injury List

Reckon they might upgrade Greenwood as I was impressed with him last Saturday. Big bodied midfielder

Who else is on the rookie list? We might wait and see if we need to upgrade anyone on a needs basis. Greenwood impressed but probably 4th or 5th in the queue.

Selection day, don't think we will see any surprises. Walker/Sloane should be good to go if they get through today's session as expected. Expecting Lever to play also. Could see a couple of club debutants in Menzel and Hampton! Either way we will put out an exciting side with plenty of pace and outside run (never thought i'd say it). We are going to need it against a very talented GWS side!

Bit worried about taking in any more than 1 untried player in to round 1. It's obvious Sloane is in and Lever will get the nod you would think. Really hope we don't go beyond that as I think Lever alone is a huge risk. Sloane is obviously worth rolling the dice on.

Personally I think Sloane will be slight underdone having not done the contact work

Imho your real match fitness comes from being able to take a hit and then make the next contest rather than just doing sole cardio work

Might be right but not the first time he has done this and he is a clean winded athlete.

Very valid points there, Sloane I think will play. Lever as well but I think you are right that should be it. The GWS are not short on running power and a few under done players could get exposed.

It's a long season ahead......... I wouldn't risk Sloane who is arguably your most important player unless he's 100% ready to go.

Walker will play. If he's done his string even the slightest you don't name him.

If the surgeon gives him the all clear that the bone has fully healed then there is no point in him not playing. Will most likely wear a helmet like he did last time as protection.
Tex got through training and as long as he pulls up fine he will play, scans suggested no tear/strain so again no reason for him not to play. He'd put his hand up if he wasn't 100%.
Lever get's a run in the 2s, makes the decision easier that Otten/Kelly both played decent JLT games.

Happy with the squad - ROB, Poholke and either Otten or Kelly to make way you would think. Pyke might consider though playing both Kelly and Otten which releases Laird into the midfield? Few option on the extended bench.

I can't see Tex playing, no way would they risk him in a 40/60 game at this stage of the year coming of a hammy.
