Can't be for football ability or only Erin Phillips would get one. Serious question before i get told i'm stuck in the dark ages.

It didn't follow the story very closely but the small bits I did see it seemed a bit of an iconic moment where pretty much all of Australia stood up for womens sports and said 'enough enough, they deserve to play'

TBH im not sure why people get so riled up about stuff like this, I cant believe there is statues of pigs in our mall WTF but im not losing any sleep thinking **** it should have been horses they have done heaps more for us than ******* pigs.

Pigs Arse! Pigs are the core of the Sunday morning breakfast.
Very true, deserve there place in the mall for all the breakfasts they provide ion Sunday mornings.

Not sure what the big deal is. It's an iconic action shot that got everyone talking. Bit like Winmar lifting the jumper. I have no problem with them doing this.

Of course you don't,
Its a piss take surely. May as well put one up of Falau or Hunt, they did as much for the promotion of the game but did have more ability

no real surprise days you have a problem with it...

Where did I say I had a problem with it. I said surely its a pisstake. It doesn't matter what I think they do what they do anyway. Stop trying to manufacture some history and tradition, its 3 years old ffs
Shall we have a statue for every player that's ever been trolled, Im sure Jenkins would love one.

Its not about her being trolled its about that being the moment the entire AFL community made a stance against on-line bullying.

Just like the Nicky Windmar pointing at the skin act being the moment the AFL got serious about their stance against racism.

Given the athleticism of these girls/women, there will a be a lot of statues around the country if the criteria on 'who gets a statue' and 'when' isn't raised.

As usual you're missing the point.

I don't think so. I'm in agreement with Andy Maher who I thought put it eloquently on The Front Bar in saying it was reminiscent of Nicky Winmar's moment all those years back. All I'm saying is that people should not draw comparisons between athleticism and the reason behind the statue for Tayla Harris.

BUT, I should've added an emoji to say I had tongue firmly planted in my cheek.

Has anyone seen the footage of an alleged AFLW captain in some nightclub toilets?

Upon viewing it many times I am not totally convinced the girl in the clip is who they allege.
