Richmond 2017

Apparently Dusty walked out of a presser today after getting questions about his contract negotiations. What's the feeling amongst Tigers fans? Staying or going?

I'd say, being a restricted free agent, he is going to force the Tigers into paying market value otherwise...gone...

Maybe depends on how Richmond go this year? Mid table, poor season he prob goes to a club that has a premiership window open.

How many free agents have stayed loyal since it came in?

Also on Richmond, i thought they looked pretty good in both pre-season games - maybe this could be their year to have a decent crack?

It's Richmond what else would you expect? :D

Richmond are always up and about in the preseason, they've got 70,000 odd members to keep giving some hope too. Remember it was this time last year that Hardwick declared "This is the best list I've had at my disposal in my time here".

Martin, I think he'll stay. He looks like the type of bloke who is more interested in being honorable and dedicated to his mates than chasing money or a flag.

Them and 14 other teams, sadly for Port fans and Hinkley!
Just my opinion though.

They might, they might not. Either way at the end of the year they'll still be Richmond and there's no way I'd be that over being Port Adelaide.

Dusty walking out of the presser had nothing to do with the actual negotiation itself. He was there to promote Sherrin and wasn't allowed to do it despite telling three journalists (as well as Choco adding in his bit) the conference wasn't about him, it was about the product. What do the journalists expect him to do? My 2c, he will stay, but we will pay overs.

I'm not getting excited about 2017, despite our trade period being IMO the best one we've had for a long time. Deledio, Pick 6 & 46 for Prestia, Caddy, Nankervis and 2017 1st Rounder is essentially the business we did, but I know better than to be optimistic. No finals for us again until we can get a genuine second tall forward to help Riewoldt. Vickery was no good, Griffiths is 26 now and still no good and McBean never came on. Stuffed up the forward end, althought Rioli looks like he's taken a decent step over summer, looking forward to watching him this year.

9-12 finish.

Thought this quote summed up being a Richmond supporter perfectly...

'The off-season delivered an active trade period, and a restructuring of the off-field hierarchy at Richmond. There is a glint of optimism in Tiger eyes once more. Suckers'

We're not going anywhere. Looking forward to seeing Oleg & Rioli continue to improve. A top 8 finish would be huge, jack would need to kick 60 plus goals.. its not going to happen.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Only similarities between them is their ability to give their team mates shit for not passing to them.

I actually wish we were playing GWS or Sydney tonight, kill off any fans optimism nice and early.

If we beat Carlton, it's just what we should be expected to do. If we lose, it's doomsday. I hate it.
