Cyril, Eddie, Milne, Aker?

Can't have 6 talls up forward can we?

It's a fair criticism and is why I put Aker in there. I guess people put in KPF more because they're deemed as more important structurally.

If I were to choose I would go...

Milne just over Betts.

I'd have Cyril or Eddie first but Milne was a great player.

Digby you can't just purely use stats.
Impact in finals surely mark you higher hence why I choose Cyril.

When his career is over Eddie will have the best stats of them all.

I'm not but it's not even close man. Cyril may very well be the better player in the end but he's got a fair whack of his career left and will need to keep delivering to be ahead of those two (and about 5 others)

Must admit I don't rate Rioli as high as most as he's very rarely played well against Geelong. Burgoyne on the other hand.........

Depends on the match ups.... who is this team playing against?
1961, 1971, 1976, 1978, 1983, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1991, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2015.... And don't you forget it!

Morell, what are your rating values?

All Australian - opinion based award
Brownlow - opinion based award
Club Champion - opinion based award
Leading Goal Kicker - qualitative
Premierships - qualitative

Not having a crack, but for you to say what you have about opinions is it somewhat hypocritical to use opinion based awards as a basis of deciding who is better...

However I'm no stat's man or really care that much, just wondering...

It was only one passage of play in the 2008 GF, but it was a good Cyril moment. Did you miss that Wedgie?

Because he played up in Brisbane too many people dismiss what he did. If he played in SA or Victoria he would be lauded as a pure champion of the game

And I don't support Brisbane
You may very well, but I would suggest that is because of a few moments of gutsy efforts, a personal liking towards a personality type/playing style - rather than an overall body of work.

Dismiss what he did? What exactly did he do? His record is really not that impressive when you factor in the teams he played in and the roles that he had.

It's a bit like people frothing over Glen Archer - who was in all reality a limited footballer. Boy he was tough though ;)

Yeah...... I actually agree 100% with all this. Nice work Morrell, I'll get Scooter to pass on further compliments from my next visit to the Marion.

Depends I guess...Black = Brownlow & Premiersips (3), Roo = Brownlow & Premiersip (1), Burgoyne = Premierships (5... I think?). All bloody good players.
