Maybe it's wearing a bit thin now and it hasn't worked as well as they both thought it would.

It would have signed knowing the power players have and that he could request a trade at any time

He's contracted until end of next year. No rush to sign yet.

Why wouldnt you trade Sloane now, youll get picks 7 and 8. You keep him 12 months and lose him as a free agent youll get pick 19 for him if you were to win the flag next year. Or if he does the right thing and demands a trade from his new club the best you can hope for is a Dangerfield type deal, pick 10ish and some steak knives

Agree I don't think he will go any where

Only thing that could've have happened is he and his partners relationship has now meant they need to be together, I wouldn't think that is overly unrealistic and something that happens in work away relationships often

This happened to me recently I took a job 'away' (within) the state we lasted a very small time away from one another and I was lucky she in her role was able to come to where I am

I think the rumour is BS but all clubs should be atleast asking the question. Everyone knows the Crows don't like to shell out the big bucks so there will be some huge offers on the table. Sloane seems pretty loyal though so can't see him leaving

After the players they have lost in recent memory I reckon the Crows would of offered Sloane an extension by now, the fact he hasn't committed beyond 2018 yet officially suggests he might be seriously considering leaving

Why? They have not done that for any others and as much as people mock their ability to maintain players they still continue to develop as good as any club in the land.

Free agency is great, but before that time players should be traded without their consent too, as long as their contract requirements are met
