Either way, it is massive overs.

I've also heard Crows thought it was 2 x 1st rd picks but we get Carltons 2018 2nd rd pick back.

I don't think this trade will go ahead.
You are correct, it was reported in other media outlets that there appeared to be a break down in communication.

Communication issues?
How can you communicate something as simple as that wrong?

Crows are pushing Carlton’s buttons again and will lose the trade if not careful.

I’m happy to give up Gibbs for 2 x 1st rounder and next years 2nd rounder.

Has anyone ever been traded for that much ever?
Massive overs .
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

How are Crows pushing Carltons buttons? Try and look at it from an impartial view...
It's a ridiculous exercise that is only hurting Bryce and his family.
The fact it took until yesterday for the Gibbs family to convince Bolton and SOS to negotiate with Adelaide shows you what kind of deal Carl would be willing to accept.
2 x 1st rd and 1 x 2nd rd for a 29 yr old would be the most irresponsible trade in history, that's why Adel didn't go through with it last night.

I understand it’s massive overs but he’s contracted and Carlton have every right to make him stay or accept a very very good deal from the crows.

Up to the Crows now to accept the deal which is much like last year.

Completely agree, hence my comment about it being a ridiculous exercise.
The same thing is happening with Charlie Cameron.
I actually applaud both clubs for standing firm with contracted players.

Thats ... a very hefty price to pay for a 29 year old.

Good get though, If they win the flag and Gibbs plays a major role you'd say it was worth it.

Risky. And very un-Crow like.

Durable player who barely has had an injury

Apparently when you add up the "points" we did well out of it. Going on swapping next years second rounders (based on this year) we would move up about 14 spots so the difference between 16 and say 23 is not much

For mine, two first rounders, and a series of other swaps, is overs for gibbs.
The crows said no to the same deal last year, when gibbs had an extra playing year to bring to the table.

The fact it has happened now goes to show Pike has convinced the crows power brokers that Gibbs is the outside polish they need to finish the job off.
With the likes of the crouch boys on the inside, Gibbs could flourish, and will also help take a bit of pressure off of Sloane.

This supports the reasoning behind not letting Cameron go, or trading Sloane this year before he walks for free next year.

It is clear Pike knows its 2018 or bust.
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Crows
In: Gibbs, 2018 2nd and 3rd, 2017 5th
Out: 10,16, 2018 2nd, 2017 4th

It's overs but not as much as last years overs that were requested.
Next years 2nd rd could change from 30-36 to 20-25, and the 3rd round from carl 40-45
Time will tell if it was worth it.

Who knows if all the other fluff was offered last year but Carlton were firm on 2 x 1st rounders. If it was just that, then it wouldn't have got done again this year.

Difference this year is that we have the picks available to use and still have an early pick whereas last year we didn't.
