State Captain and Larkey medallist Jack Graham was overlooked by them. Maybe they need to draft more SA lads or start paying them better

It might be something as simple as a line in their song that the Vic's want out. A lot of supporters and SA media promote the SA v Vic thing as opposed to Port and majority of other clubs who preach club tradition into supporters and players. Just an obscure thought.

You gotta have tradition to promote it first ;)

Or it might be as simple that an ordinary Victorian team wants to pay way overs and continue to wreck the culture of their club.

If the reported $300k a year difference is correct I for one cannot blame him

I wonder if the psyche of players there is that it's easier to leave here because A,B,C,D,E,F and G already have over the years, whereas being the "1st" to walk out would be more difficult to do?

Crows Fans - BOOO!

Go to take the good with the bad

All clubs have players that ask to be traded

Why would he want to live in Adelaide when he can go home to family and friends AND get paid more for doing it.
It's a No Brainer.

So he doesn't get booed when he plays the Crows at AO.

If it's the reported 5 years x $850k then there's nothing to think about.

Adelaide would have been in the $500-600k mark and probably 3-4 years.

Everyone pays overs for free agents coming in, it's the system, but, while you might think it's overs to begin with you never know it might turn out to be a great investment.

Brett burton on trade radio. Says that levers’ Melbourne contract would have made him easily highest paid player at the crows.

The crows offer was less but still would have put him right up there in our payment structure.

(Reported 800k vs 600k)

You would think that he would be close to Melbourne’s highest paid player too. If Melbourne want to get him they need to stump it up

Exactly some clubs pay overs for Free agents and some clubs pay overs for 'joe the gooses'.

Please stop reading/listening to 2nd rate victorian media journalist twitter accounts.

The average wage for an AFL footballer this year was 300k and going up 20% next year.

Our offer was around 650-700k per year which is far from low balling!
