Before I make a judgement does anyone know what his experience or knowledge of AFL is.

On the face of it seems extremly token but open to been corrected.

A tale of 2 teams.

Team "A" - having played in a grand final go on a pre season camp that doesn't go so well. Rumours abound, players unhappy, injury toll mounts. Miss Finals.
Team "B" - having missed finals, don't go on a pre season camp. Players input widely criticized. Playing Finals.
Discuss.

Different strokes for different folks. To many variables to pin point a pre season camp as the sole reason for success or failure.

If the crows had won a few more earlier in the year, the camp wouldn’t have been an issue either.

I think the bigger issue is the way they handled the media afterwards, everything they did seemed to make it worse, and then the media smelled blood in the water and went in for the kill

Our season went downhill after the showdown loss. We were 40 seconds away from being 7-3 but instead that turned into 3 or 4 losses in a row. I don’t think we would have done any damage in the finals anyway. Team changed too much everyweek and playing unfit players

Team A were kidding themselves and Team B are kidding you.

Melbourne celebrated a win over West Coast like they've won the whole thing and that's their first win over a side inside the top 8 for the year, they'll pose no threat during September.

Team B aren't kidding me. I saw them early in the season, they are a long way off. To be fair, so are we.

Besides Richmond I don’t really think there are any good teams. It’s as wide open as ever.

For the chance to lose to Richmond in the GF that is :)

Pretty much agree. Richmond are beatable, but the opposition will need to have a day out. Anything less, and its a Tiger B2B.

With our best 22 out there, sure (Pittonet can F off) we can compete.

Of the teams in the 8, I reckon Sydney are the least threat this year.

I thought they were cooked a few weeks ago, but because it’s Sydney, they keep getting it done. Wouldn’t rule them out either.

I think hawthorn and Geelong are worse than them but anything can happen, especially if the finals are in Melbourne

Shapes as being a very good finals series - even if there is no crows

Turns out he was at the AFL in his media role and has not been asked to meet with Steve Hocking at all. Poor form from whoever reported on that first
