Not out yet isn't it?

Got it last year, my son practically memorized it, at least I knew where to find it when I wanted to look something up.

Nah won’t be out till feb

I reckon the best thing they do is the relative ratings - gives you an indication about how good a player is compared with similar players in both age and position.

Ie Someone like Matt Crouch was overall average I think but was tracking 30% above midfielders of his age.

That number will skyrocket after his season

How would I define it? One or more of the following

- Ranked as elite by champion data - they know what they are talking about.

- Multiple All Australians or at least somewhere close to the mark (i.e multiple 40 man squads)
- High up in their clubs best and fairest consistently

Where do we find such info?

In the $39.95 AFL prospectus.

Plus $10 postage if you wanna get it early like I did :)

Connor Tuohy is an interesting addition, has definitely been a big improver since adding a bit more white to his guernsey.

Do we allow St. Nick a pass going by 2017 players?

I wonder if we have a full compliment of positions to fill a side?

Interesting, isn't it.

There's 45 in my list and 34 in brackets.

If clubs average 39 on their list ( 39x18 = 702 ) and we've got 79 on our list are we saying over 10% of players are "A graders"?

Hence my initial question.

Is there a specific number?
Do we hand A's out too easily?
Are the such things as D & E Grade players?

That's why my list was short with (??) as I think the term "A grade" is thrown around too easily.

The problem is the metrics they use are position dependent, but then they have players in completely the wrong role, Westhoff being the best example. One of the best KPF's in the game based on the fact he gets lots of disposals and marks, but we all know that aint anything close to reality.
