Never really gets published mate, all clubs play ducks and drakes with membership numbers and even the AFL don't give anything that could be considered accurate once they do their audit.

My theory, just run with the numbers the clubs say they have, the big ones have more, the shit ones have less, simple.

Western Bulldogs won the flag 2 years ago with a low membership number, surely they weren’t a “shit” club?
What if GWS win it this year with their no’s, are they still a “shit” club?

On field and off field don't always align, West Coast, Adelaide, Collingwood have big membership numbers every year, they don't finish top 4 every year.

GWS franchise, nobody expect them to have a supporter base.

It's ok on a Saturday, Sunday's not so much especially if you have kids. Worst thing about the time slot though is the Sun. In the Eastern stand can't see for most of the first half on a sunny day. When those games are played in the Eastern states its nearly dusk by 4:40 so it doesn't matter so much.

I umpire in the country so Saturday twilight games I only get to listen to the second half driving home, I love Sunday twilight games though as generally all the kids sports are wound up with, I get the lawns done, a couple of punts watching sky racing and then tune in to the last game of the round whilst cooking a lamb roast with a few beers, cc's or some quiet reds, perfect way to wind down the weekend.

I cannot accept that Port's injuries will be a factor in this week's game against Collingwood, given the Pies are far worse off. Yes, we will miss Paddy, but it just means our mids will have to set up knowing Grundy is going to dominate the hit outs. If our mids can get their share of the footy and get us inside 50 enough times I will back our forwards to kick a winning score against Collingwood's second string back 6. Last game Collingwood's back 6 at the start of the game was Brayden Maynard, Tom Langdon, Jack Crisp, Adam Oxley, Jack Magden and Levi Greenwood. All due respect, but that is not a strong defensive unit.

So how are we going to line up this week?

Last week when Dixon went down, Ken refused to use Watts as the marking option up forward.
He threw him behind the ball and just said bugger it, we'll kick the ball out of bounds.

Dixon out, Watts useless, Marshall injured still?

So what targets will we have up forward?
Or are we going to play 6 smalls and hope something works out?

Will we throw a defender forward?
Hombsch was terrible in the showdown, if he comes back does he play forward or release one of the other talls?

Perhaps Ebert plays at FF?
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

We don't deploy a tall forward marking option, that's where no Dixon might be a blessing in disguise for the piss weak game plan we have, Ebert actually makes sense as we like to lob it over the top and run on to it, may as well get 22 fast blokes with excellent stamina.

This is my concern.
We played without a tall for the back end of the game last week and didn't kick a goal in the last 50mins.
Sure we've got a bit more time to adjust our game plan and the players should be switched on to what they are expected to do this time round, but I just can't see a winning score being the result of playing no targets. I hope I'm wrong.

Why can't Dougal go forward and we give Hombsch another crack in defence?

Howard the only tall that can go to Cox in Collingwood's forward line IMO, none of the others have the reach, well, nobody does but Howard is the best option!

Every week Cox plays on a much smaller opponent, but has only kicked 18 goals for the season. I reckon it would be worthwhile giving Clurey first crack at Cox and having Dougal up forward who is much taller than any of the Collingwood defenders. I'm more worried about stopping their smaller forwards Thomas, Stephenson and De Goey etc
