If you believe that his base hasn't been increased significantly for 2018 even though he signed a contract extension last year then he clearly needs to find a new player manager.

I can't.

So you're thinking his base went from $88k to $210k + match payments to get to BC's fanciful $300k mark in a deal that was already in place? ( And that's only if he played all the games in 2018 ).

When you've decided upon that answer consider the money that Port's top enders are on, what the newly recruited 3 free agents are on and that the average AFL player wage this year is $309k. Average.

Hang on, i thought you said you'd given up and i'd one? Then you come back for more, you're not my wife are you?

$309k would be the average wage for everyone on the list including players who don’t play a single game that year.
I’d like to know the average wage for players who play 20+ games a year.

It’d be much higher than that I’d imagine.

Agreed on all accounts, but geez he's still just a kid - footballer or not.. We have all been there, done some stupid things around that age and got stupid drunk.

Any of us get paid $300k at his age though. Got to be smarter than that

So his income dictates how clever he is?

No but surely on that sort of coin (whatever it is) he needs to be smarter otherwise he won't be on it for long.

Most 20 year olds would be on around $40k a year (please no 3 pages on this figure ;) )

Certain contracts wouldn't include match payments. Players such as Boak, Gray, Wingard, Ryder, Dixon, Rockliff, Watts, Motlop would have a substantial enough base.

Hinkley presser today :

The Power will persist with Justin Westhoff, Charlie Dixon and Dougal Howard sharing the ruck duties in the absence of All Australian big man Paddy Ryder, despite Brisbane ruckman Stefan Martin dominating last weekend.

"We'll do it partially different, we won't bring in a ruck, that's the simple answer," Hinkley said.

"We'll make do with what we've got currently in the team."
Ken shows the least respect to structure of any coach in living memory. It's extraordinary. Only saving grace is that it's Etihad and Essendon, an extra runner might be handy.

But still, load up on Essendon this week.

Is Frampton up to it though, got beaten fairly easily by the crows ruckman. I am concerned about Dixon spending too much time in there though

I reckon it will be Atley in for SPP & McKenzie in for Houston (inj) & they will rick ruck with Howard playing McKenzie as the other tall down back. TBH, even though I wanted Frampton to get a game this week, we are playing a quick side on a quick deck and don't want to be too top heavy & where is Frampton as an AFL footballer at the moment. A long way off the mark it seems. Starting to think he won't play an AFL game and Hayes is the next ruckman in line for us

Richmond won the premiership with one key forward ( Reiwoldt, 195cm ) over Adelaide who played a forward line including Walker ( 194cm ), Jenkins ( 199cm ), Lynch ( 192cm ) and Adelaide, the best side in the home and away series the last two years have added McGovern ( 190 ) and Darcy Fogerty ( 193 ) to that forward line.
