Doesn't bother me. The design could possibly change 2-3 more times before we are anywhere near relevant again.
Looking at bottom 6, with no first round selection next year.
Simpsons last season as coach, Hurn last season as skipper.

Glass half empty year ahead mate?

Midfield is going to be an issue, will still have enough fire power with Kennedy and co. up front but getting it in there might be a struggle.

Natainui and Lycett very important I reckon, if they can both be fit and spend most of the year on the park then you've got an option forward to play Kennedy high, he's certainly got the mobility and the tank or you might need McGovern to play as a marking forward, I think he'll be busy down back though.

You do play Port at Adelaide Oval so there's one win at least.

The glass is almost empty and will take some time to refill but we only have ourselves to blame. The lack of opportunity for our draft picks over the last 5 years has been nothing short of staggering. Cripps,X.Ellis,Hutchings,Hill,Mitchell,Wellingham,Redden,Vardy,Giles,Petrie,Yeo,Lucas,Jetta,Morton,Bennell
have been the players we have recruited instead of playing draft picks. Yeo being the only genuine talent and we got Mitchell for free.
Now we find ourselves in a position where we will have over 8 players going around with less then 10 games under our belt. I will actually be more excited watching a WC this season then I have been over the last 2 years with the trash we have dished up without any real effort to change it. Kids will get game time to see if they can cut it at AFL level and hopefully not sit on our list until they are 22-23 then get the bullet.
Having Nic Nat back will help, as will Lycett, but unless Ruckman are taking marks or following up on the ground ball, Ruckman are useless.
If McGovern,Shuey,Yeo,NicNat or Kennedy go down, we will be on the receiving end of some absolute pumpings

It was a great win, I didn't expect it, all bullshit aside, have Port ever beaten WCE at the Oval?

Nope. Interesting match up, actually, given both sides at home are seen as a hard ask, especially West Coast in Perth.

Last 4 at AO have been West Coast by 2,10,8 and 10.

Last 3 at Subiaco have been Port by 32,14 and 5.

A good mate of mine that used to play for the Power always said Subi was a tough ground to play on because the goal posts are so tall it made the gap between them appear smaller.
