Watched the press conference for the Showdown earlier - is there any skill or nous in journalism anymore? Horrible.

Both coaches harassed about this whole "hate" and the comments by Wines and co. - so many times told them to move on, and every question continues to be the same.. then you see the headlines come out following the press conference and comments taken out of context just to add fuel.

"Nicks hits back at rival"
"Nicks goes whack"
"Nicks returns serve"

Like just absolute crap. Add on the interview Wines did when he was asked about the Crows and start of it he said he didn't want to rag on the club publicly, then gave his comment.

SA Media is a disgrace.. they serve no purpose and they feed the dumb.

So they do have a purpose (for most of the SA population).

Touk Miller and Clayton Oliver tied for the Coaches Association award, couple of guns.

Good to see Miller recognised.

Love Tomahawk but surely Gawns or Cripps should be Captain? (Gawn for me)
Even Tom Stewart is a VC where Hawk isn't.
What's the go there?
Do they now just give it to the person who has got in the team the most?

Hawkins said himself he's never captained a football team before so it doesnt make any sense. I agree it should of been Gawn, Cripps as VC is the right choice IMO.

Same. I reckon Cripps should have been captain. He has a Selwood like ability to will his team over the line and nearly did it again on Sunday.
