After AFL audit the Crows ended up on just over 56k.
The Crows had nearly 13k in free memberships such as internet memberships and the like.
For memory they also claimed about 12,000 other memberships that aren’t officially recognised by the AFL as they don’t meet the criteria of what they deem a true membership

Do you have a link to these numbers for all teams Jim? Would make for interesting reading.

All clubs should split out 11+ game, 3+ game, and non ticketed memberships where someone pays $50 or more.

Then we would get a decent indication

Only have the final audits from this years figures, it only has final numbers not the breakdown.
I remember seeing a report a few months ago that mentioned the Crows had a online membership that was free and if people signed up they got a 10% discount at Crowmania. The Crows counted the 13,000 odd as members but the AFL doesn’t recognise it.

I think they should not allow multiple memberships under one name to be added either i.e. if someone buys three x 3 game memberships throughout the year for them self, it should count as one, not three.

It’s premierships and profit that counts in the end(We have neither at Carlton recently)!
Membership numbers are irrelevant.

Gold Coast has 11,000-odd members? Surely that's a typo. ;)

ADELAIDE has parted ways with respected recruiter Phil Bunn.

The veteran talent-spotter finished up at the club last month after five years as Adelaide’s Eastern recruiting manager.

The Crows made the call in part to help keep under the AFL’s soft cap on football department spending.

Since 2013, Bunn has helped Adelaide assemble one of the most talented lists in the competition, despite some key player departures and draft penalties.

The Crows were banned from the first two rounds of the 2013 national draft for breaching the salary cap and draft tampering over the Kurt Tippett saga.

They also handed back their first two picks in the 2012 draft.

Since then, Bunn helped Adelaide draft gun youngsters Jake Lever (pick No. 14), Matt Crouch (No. 23), Mitch McGovern (pick No. 43) and rookie selections Charlie Cameron and Rory Laird.

Bunn was told his Adelaide contract would not be renewed late last year and wants to remain in AFL recruiting.

The Melbourne-based talent expert previously worked at Port Adelaide as Victorian recruiting manager from 2010-2013.

The Herald Sun understands several clubs have expressed interest in his services.

The AFL Coaches Association has recently added recruiters to its member base to help bring their contractual rights in line with senior coaches and assistants.
