Didn’t he write an essay 3 weeks ago on Social Media about how much he loves the club and the people around him? Something about going through thick and thin with all the guys he plays with. Seems a huge stretch of a story.

Mitch McGovern signs 3 year contract extension with Adelaide.

Sam McLure "Mitch McGovern wants out"

Seems a huge stretch of a story

Yeah but 2-3 weeks is a different story compared to 12 months Boon.

What are you going to give up for McDollar then? Barely anyone on your list worth even a burnt crumpet

A burnt crumpet and a first rounder should do it.

That’s my point, only first rounder you have is pick 1. Next pick is 25 a second rounder

Plenty of water to go under the bridge before the trade gets done.
I highly doubt Carlton will part with pick 1 but if we can get McGovern and another player I would entertain it.
Would have to be a player that starts in our 18 though.

Crows won’t take pick 25 and I cannot see Carlton trading enough to get a different first round pick

As I said before Atkins and McDollars for pick 1

If not Atkins how about Hartigan

We need a HBF since you pinched Gibbs.
Smith packaged with McGovern for pick 1.
Deal?

Crows will end up taking #25 for McGovern
Whats the alternative, keep him? I dont think so, theres no going back now and if McGoern and his manager play it smart they will make sure the crows wont take him back. Anyone remember Akermanis threatening to stay if Brisbane didnt trade him?

Crows fans are delusional, Mcgovern was on the verge of being dropped this season.

McCarthy thought that aswell.
Crows are better off making him sit out for a year

The AFL won’t let that happen again.
Crows really have no choice but to trade him now.
Damaged goods if he was to stay at Adelaide.

AFL can’t and won’t do anything unless they have a very good reason.
Carlton want to poach a player with 2 years remaining on his contract and pay him well overs so it’s up to them to find a pick in the low to mid teens at the very least. How they do that is of no concern to the Crows and I’d be threatening to keep him out of the game if a suitable deal can’t be found

The AFL will help with the deal anyway they can behind the scenes with Carlton.
They don’t want a repeat performance by Carlton next year.

Yep. Spot on Jim. The crows will keep and him on there list if the trade doesn't suit.

All these media idiots talking about the crows will just need to accept a 2nd rounder are off the dial.

Hey!! Im no media idiot Stan ;)
Itll be pick 25 or he threatens to stay, no way he can stay after saying what he has. Crows cant afford to keep the salary on the books for a year or two. He will be traded, no doubt about it
