It would be gold if he signed now, Caro has been going on about him staying since November last year, until last week she changed to "he is coming home to Melbourne" :lol:

Sloane signed a 5 year deal with the Crows a short time ago

Like many I thought he was going home and I was hoping Carlton were half a chance to get him.

The length secures the deal surely. As a supporter that doesn't bother me in the slightest. He still has plenty of good footy in front of him and happy the club hasn't played 'safe' and lost out.

People will say it's too long, and maybe it is. But we needed to hang on to this one, the good it does for our morale going forwards is priceless after recent events.
