Could be a regular ANZAC Eve clash?

I think it stinks and is a lack of respect.

I hope the weekends games don't have Anzac ceremony's prior to them starting, disrespectful to the day to have a ceremony 4 days before Anzac Day.

If not, why not have one next weekend as well?

Of course they will, isnt yours a "traditional" anzac roud game against Geelong at home. Youll be handing out whatever medal it is for BOG.

Even your educated attempts at trolls are crap.

We played St Kilda for several years as part of the Anzac Day round, it's the Major Peter Badcoe Medal.

Has been locked in as a yearly fixture between the 2 clubs. It was also announced at the time that in the following round it would be Essendon v Melbourne and Collingwood v Richmond to allow those 4 clubs to have roughly the same rest

No troll here. Think if you look it up you have played Geelong before in gthe anzac round on the Saturday night. Looks like you might have 2 "traditiona"l rivals for ANZAC round
Oh so the medal is ok but the ceremony isnt?

Not sure how it lacks respect to play a game of footy the night before Anzac Day

Having medals handed out to the best player, somehow signifying those players typify some sort of Anzac spirit? Yep that is disrespectful imo

I think we've played them once, in 2016, the medal isn't here nor there for me, not something that matters much, playing the last post etc when it's not Anzac Day, I reckon that does.

Because the kids should be getting to bed at a decent time to get up for dawn services, not promoting a night game for people to attend because they have the following day off.

If you want to go to a dawn service go to bed early. The afl isn’t making you or your kids stay up.

You do realise the Richmond and Melbourne have fans don't you, they may even be young kids, they may want to watch the game and go to the dawn service but can't do both because of the lateness of the game...

Or pull an all-nighter before dawn service.

Well they are predicting 90k so there are plenty that will still go.

Just don’t see why the afl should care about your early morning.

Yeah, cool for adults, not so for pre-teen kids that want to watch their team play and be up in time for dawn service without being a zombie.

Each to their own, I've always made sure my kids have a healthy sleep pattern, their sporting and academic achievements suggest I'm around the mark.

He doesn't have children old enough to understand where we're coming from, and if it doesn't affect him then he doesn't care, everyone is stupid.
