Nothing stopping other games being played on ANZAC Day at other grounds. The MCG has a long term deal with the AFL and the two clubs so it isn’t changing

I couldn't believe all the ads on Ch7 today for the big Friday Night Football game this week, if I was them and the AFL I would be promoting every other game than FNF, just hope it happens and no-one notices!

Big punch up between Collingwood supporters in the stands after the game. Let’s see if that makes the news for the next week

Yeh. I thought it was a Scott brother but there was no animated head shaking, arm gestures, exasperated breaths, eye rolls and blame giving.

You know it wont because Melbourne isnt a one horse town. Stop being a little sook about it and accept the fact that one of the 2 AFL teams player farting in public is news here.

Was a decent one amongst the Essendon fans during the 3rd quarter aswell. Happens every game between the big clubs

And there is the point. A night game should be played. Port v Crows would be awesome. Better than the crap we had to endure today.

Would guess the AFL in their coverage agreement sells their right to any network programming

Pretty sure when the draw came out they AFL didn't know it would be 18th v 16th
Probably wanted to give Western Bulldogs a Friday night game against an opponent who can bring a crowd. Richmond Essendon and Collingwood just played, perhaps they could give them NM and get 25000 to etihad. Do Carlton deserve it? NO, but they normally get a crowd and thats all the AFL care about.

That would be a disaster, no good would come from people being on the turps for 12 hours then going to the footy.

I noticed this year that there was less complaining about Collingwood and Essendon having the Anzac game.
It'll start winding up again next year as we head out of mid-week territory and short turnarounds towards Anzac Day being on the weekend.

He has almost taken over as my most hated player in the AFL but old mate hungry Wingard still holds that mantle.

He reminds me of a soccer goalkeeper. He blames everyone and gets angry when players don't do what he wants them to do. The added issue is that he also needs to pick someone up (which I can't recall him ever doing).
