Not as bad, IMO, but given the way the governing body wants the game viewed and played it should have seen a similar suspension. ( Lockett got 8 ).

Nowadays you get a week for touching an umpire and 2 for a heavy tackle, leaving the ground and elbowing a bloke in the head, in comparison, should be more than 5.

You more concerned about Cameron missing 5 matches or what the impact could be on Andrews' health?

Me, I reckon 5 weeks was soft. Initially I said 4-6, the more I watched it the more I felt sickened by it and it's one of the worst hits I can remember for a long time and I reckon something more like 8 was in order.

Full forwards make contact with players coming back with the ball all the time, whether the player coming back is running with the ball or backing back and in almost every instance the full forward still has the ball as the target, be it to mark it or spoil it. Not often does the leading forward go with one elbow and one knee to mark or spoil the ball.

It's the 11th time the MRP has had Cameron in their report since 2012, time for everyone to stop talking about how he's a ball player and so mild mannered off the field.

Agree it appeared to be a very soft suspension by current AFL standards.

I get that it all happens in a split second, I get that its hard to control your body in the air, but in my opinion the footage was pretty damming and that it was fairly clearl Cameron had used a raised elbow to protect himself with no attempt to tuck in.

Who bloody knows with the AFL though and all the ulterior motives and interests they have.

Watch Cameron’s eyes. They were fixed on the man well before the ball arrived.
5 games is massive unders IMO.

6-8 games is what most people I spoke to think he should have got.
I agree with 6-8.

Couldn't agree more. Im a bit old school and like the rough and tumble of footy, but this type of incident is simply too potentially dangerous and the AFL have missed a great opportunity to make a big statement.

He's not been to the tribunal 11 times, he's been in the MRP's eye 11 times, the tribunal twice.

Do the AFL have a life ban limit similar to amateur and country football?

If so what is Camerons situation in that regard?

My understanding is there is a national deregistration at 16 games, however AFL games are weighted at 0.5, meaning he would need to reach 32 in the AFL before he is booted out.

Gerard Whately went over this topic yesterday and said this does not apply whilst playing AFL.
I’d assume that would mean that as he is on 11 games now if he went and played suburban or country footy he would start on half that?

Cameron has always been a bit of a flog. When he's not sniping he is giving away stupid fifty metre penalties. All about him.

I reckon it used to be reduced by half, then by a third, now a quarter.

Has any one got a good android simulator working on their pc, i did but the afl app wont run on rooted devices wtf omg

Im thinking of trying a second phone and cast from that and not touch it from start to finish
