I try to view life and different races and cultures the same as you Brod in terms of people being people, but I think in the case of Daw and Aliir the added fascination came from their lack of exposure to the sport at young ages .. Aliir in particular first kicked a ball at 13 or something like that, hard to comprehend how far he's come in such a short time.

Agreed, both are amazing footballers considering when they started and where they have come from.

Not quite the same but I went to school with Clive Waterhouse, he was a very handy soccer player and general athletics, he never kicked the ball with us at lunch nor did he play school footy, nek minnit, he's suiting up for Para Hills 17's, then Port Magpies the following season then not long after lining up for the Dockers.

I wish I had of talked him into playing club footy sooner as we went from being scrubbers in under 13's then came good half way through 14's and could beat anyone on our day through to 17's.

Pick the winning team & correct margin of the first game of the round. No one had really gone close until last night.
I had Adelaide to win by 16 pts! One point off winning 17 cartons!!!

I picked Richmond by 33 points tonight.
