AFL needs to take over running the club, should trade pick 1 for 3 and 6 from the Gold Coast

Clearly you follow us closely enough to know we don't need kids, so why the hell would we trade away Walsh to get who knows what 18 yo's when we are NOT targeting the draft - as mentioned ad nauseum by our recruitment team? We clearly need bigger seasoned bodies, which we've brought in via the trade period - again, as mentioned we would do via our recruitment team.

I'd be more worried about your mob if I were you.

Oh look

Guess who toured Carlton today

 ;)

So Carlton give Gold Coast pick 1 for picks 3 and 6 with the aim to draft Lukosius and Rozee who toured Ikon Park yesterday.

They know Port have pick 5, yeah?

More and more people are suggesting Port will go an interstate player with 5.

If they toured Ikon Park they won’t be joining Carlton. Close to the worst facilities in the comp

Surely we take Rozee if he's there.

I can't see Rankine still being there at 5 ( hope he is! ) but I reckon Rozee might be...

Vic Metro products Bailey Smith and Ben King are the names I am hearing.

Ben King I'm ok with. Ryder is 30, Dixon is 28, Marshall is never going to be the big key forward, very capable as the third tall but not the crashing packs type, no issues if we look at 3 years from now in the key forward department.

The Victorian aspect concerns me, I'd sooner recruit locally for the homesick factor, we seem to cop it less than our Adelaide counterparts though.

We've just lost 2 SA lads this off season, so it's kind of a moot point. Player movement and free agency is more influenced by dollar/potential for team success, rather than homesickness.

Smith, King or Rozee at 5 - to be honest I don't think we can lose. All are quality talent who should forge successful AFL careers.

Was offered a new contract aswell.
Was hoping he would stay on in some role as Draper has come on in leaps and bounds under his tutelage

It would appear we have some interest in former Freo big man Zac Clarke.

Why wouldn't you? I thought he held his own in Sandi's absence, I'm a bit of a Ben Harper fan too though.

Hopefully the 2 young SA lads can step up in the next couple of years and we can can just get a stop gap for the time being

You're choice at pick 15 will have the best impact....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
