Paying Hartung out for a year as well, picked up in the draft means a 2 year deal. Why didn't they just rookie list him for a year?

How many of these delisted players will end up at Carlton?
Based on our track record I’d say most of them.

I’ll stand corrected but I think if a player has previously been on an AFL list & gets delisted, he can be signed by another club on a 1 year contract.
This decision still baffles me. Even if we land Polec and/or Gaff, he would’ve been a good depth player. We are a slow side, whilst Hartung has his deficiencies, he’s pacy.

True, at least when he turns it over, he does it quickly!

There was a rumour a little while back about a player who had a falling out with a coach and official who hadnt been sighted since the middle of the year. I think this might be Hartung. How else do you explain playing the 1st 13 games, getting a hammy, doesnt play for rest of the season and is then delisted?
