For those that want to join me on the orange band wagon:

Well there's a big, big sound
From the West of the town
It's the sound of the mighty GIANTS

You feel the ground a-shaking
The other teams are quaking
In their boots before the GIANTS

We take the longest strides
And the highest leap
We're stronger than the rest

We're the Greater Western Sydney GIANTS
We're the biggest and the best

And we will never surrender
We'll fight until the end
We're greater than the rest

What a sh1t song.

Anyway, often the loser from week one is written off in week two, however I think this year, being because the table was so close there is a reason to hold hope in the lower ranked teams winning this week. Richmond and West Coast will hope so too.

Melbourne have a good chance against Hawthorn but I think the Hawks will be too strong. Just. Bigger, seasoned bodies will be the difference.

On the other realm, the Giants are primed. They don't necessarily play well at the G but they must think they are a chance against the Pies. They will come off a day's less break and a flight home on the Sat night and besides Kelly, look pretty good for this one. The Pies weren't disgraced against the Eagles and I thought they should've won it if they were able to quell McGovern. They have the ability to beat Richmond in a Prelim all things being equal however the soldiers are falling by the wayside and I think even if they do scrape through this week they'll get done the following week. This week, their backline looks a bit thin but luckily the Giants aren't going to be able to expose them in height going forward. Greene is a key to them winning. But I'll tip the Pies, just.

reckon Melbourne will win easily. the other game is really hard to pick. GWS are a better team imo but Collingwood with 70k+ supporters at the MCG will have a big advantage
