5 senior coach spots open up and he didn't get one, I wouldn't call that highly regarded by the industry.

Has he won back to back assistant coaches of the year awards though?

Considering he is getting down to the last couple each time, means he is well regarded, I just don't get it.

Is there a bigger spanner on this site? I'll wait.

    Didn't think so.

CGAF about China and what appear to be figures that could only be considered “ball park” at best.

I would of thought reconnecting with members who have walked away in droves would be priority number one for the club atm.

I'd consider securing the financial future for any football club priority number one. 10K fans (although hypothetical) leaving doesn't even come close to the potential millions to be made from the China relationship.
On a side note: Fans who 'walk away' from any club are not fans, they're spectators.

I couldn't care about the Port situation but interested in general what 10K (I don't know how accurate that number is) would mean to a sporting club.

Let say out of those 10k lets say 75% of them were casual ticket purchases not members so we are left with 7500 the average cost of a ticket is $30 and they are guaranteed to play 11 home games a year. 7,500 x 30 x 11- $2,475,000

Let say each of those 82,500 who haven't showed up (7,500 x 11 home games) were going to spend $10 (very conservative) in the café/merch. $825,000 presuming they mark up 100% (its probably more) the loss of income would be around $400,000

A drop of 10,000 attendances could very conservatively be a loss of around 3mil a year on just entrance costs.

Full credit to people who run/manage football clubs having to deal with such fluctuations in numbers/finances based around performance which is so much out of your own control.

A mate at work is selling his crows season ticket

    $485 for 11 games.

    $44 a game before he has brought a beer/pie/merchandise.

I’m not sure what a power/membership/season ticket is but I doubt it would be to much different.

It will be interesting with China finally being profitable if the power declares a profit this year.

    I’d doubt it.

Obviously my suggestion of reconnecting with members is a stupid idea to help with revenue/profit.

It's sport, the best way to connect with members is to perform. Simple as that.
I'm pretty sure you know down to the cent how much a Port membership costs.

If the crowd numbers is such a concern for you and you aren't getting the answers on here, from mere supporters, you so desperately seek I suggest you pen a letter to the club. For prompt response be sure to sign it 'Concerned Centrals Fan'

No need as pointed out previously KT stated the backlash from members he’s received was described as a “deafening roar”.

Some can identify the issues and be bold and ask questions . Whilst others take the easy way and deny there is an issue.

We know which basket the port fans on safooty fall into.

I did see AO have raised food and drink prices again.
They said they had no choice due to dwindling crowd numbers.
It was in the advertiser on the weekend if anyone wants to reference it.

Good way to try and get crowd numbers back eh?
    Ridiculous.
