Absolutely agree

If you blokes haven't at least got a small interest bet on Adelaide to win it at $11 or to make the GF in some exotics ( $31 for Adelaide v Melbourne GF ) you're mad.

is that you Kane?

I think GC, St Kilda, Bulldogs and Freo will finish below us.

I think we’ll win 6-8 games this year.

Err, no.

16-6 in 2016, 15-6-1 in 2017 and I think it's fair to say 2018 can be written off before it even started with the shambolic cult weekend on the Gold Coast and the off and on injury problems of last year.

Smith adds enormous rebounding ability from defence, Doedee is all (or more) than Lever was, B.Crouch might make an impact and there's little doubt Adelaide have one of the most dynamic forwards combinations in the comp that seems will only be aided by the new rules, they rarely get beaten at home meaning there's 9 or more wins at Adelaide Oval and I think it's fair to say this group has some unfinished business. Are they up to redeeming themselves for late '17 and all of '18 is the question.

If you don't have Adelaide as a genuine contender I'd like to hear your reasoning why.

The Crows will finish top 2 after the minor round for mine but won’t win when it matters.
I can’t see their forwards standing up when it counts.

Does it?

2016 finals - Betts 9 in 2 games, Lynch 6 in 2 games, Walker 4 in 2 games, Jenkins 2 in 2 games. 21 goals in 2 games.

2017 finals - Betts 6 in 3 games, Lynch 3 in 3 games, Walker 5 in 3 games, Jenkins 5 in 3 games. 19 goals in 3 games.

Most sides will take that.

I think we all know what happened there, I think about it often.

To run with the blanket statement that they haven't delivered "when it counts" which, for mine, is any finals, isn't really on the money, is it?

Perhaps we need a new thread to define "When it counts".

Away finals for me, and the GF obviously.
