Funny how Geelong are happy to play Collingwood at the G all year for the $$$ but come finals, they have principles all of a sudden.

I'm happy to play finals anywhere mate. Looking forward to it. Must suck supporting a shite team. I do feel for you mob at times.

The cats have chosen to play every home game against Collingwood at the MCG since 1999 I read on the twittersphere last night.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I'm pretty sure it's something like that, I think it could be a minimum of 3 finals, meaning there could be one week of no MCG game, I could be wrong though.

I'm pretty sure it's only the GF that has to be at the MCG now. It's been that way for a while I reckon.

I don't reckon any finals were played outside Victoria till at least about 1992-ish. West Coast would have been the victims of that on more than one occasion.

1991 I think was the first final played outside of Victoria and only the second one outside of Melbourne

Nervous maybe because Chris Scott's coaching record in finals is pretty ordinary. Besides 2011 when he was handed a premiership basically, it does not read well.

If he goes out in straight sets again, or does not get past the Prelim, he will be under the pump (not for getting sacked, but just why his team cant perform when it matters most).

Its the AFL who dictate our games at the G and Marvel

Bullshit, give us the gate for every Easter Monday clash then, we'll be more than happy to take it. If we happen to play twice in a season we'll come down to your cute little stadium.

It's well documented mate. Geelong request every home game to be played at Geelong and have done for years.
Geelong also request all home finals to be played at Geelong just like the 17 other teams.
It's not even conjecture, it's a fact.
The AFL insist they play certain home games at the MCG.
I'm not saying it's wrong or right but it's fact.

I honestly don’t have a problem with them playing every home game down there if they are willing to forego Easter Monday and their members lose their reciprocal rights to Melbourne games
