If Port signed Ryder or Adelaide signed Jacobs to 3 year deals right now you'd be all over it.

Granted, Goldstein had a much better year than both of them, but we're pretty close to apples with apples.

Ryder and Jacobs are no longer 1st choice rucks where Goldy still is.

No comparison, if Goldy played significant VFL footy this year then Id agree, but he is still in the top 5 ruckmen in the AFL.

Ruckmen “fall off the cliff” quicker than any other position due to the constant bang and crash

Only a couple of years ago North were trying to off load Goldy

And 12 months ago Jacobs and Ryder were both quality AFL ruckman.

If you believe signing a 32 year old to a 3 year deal is the right thing for North then good for you. I think it is. ;)
