Carlisle, Melksham and Crameri in recent times, but it's a good thing that we don't often have players screaming to leave.

Probably only Carlisle, Melksham and Crameri
As a rule we have a pretty good retention rate (not always good though when your list is ordinary)

Who also manages Aaron Francis and Ben Rutten amongst others.
The timing of him changing managers is definitely a concern. Think we will know soon enough and then the fun can begin

So much for all the hype, I think the Lions dodged a bullet there.

They've been taking kids for 4 years via the draft and trades, they've delisted dead wood over 28 and need some experience on the list.

With 5 young indigenous players on the list maybe more after this draft/trade, the experience of Betts, the guidance he can offer and the on field draw card is exactly what Carlton need. Imagine he snaffles a GOTY contender early in the year and Carlton are 3-1 after the first month, imagine the hype around them?

I agree. If we threw the kitchen sink at him to get him, then I'd be worried. But for pick 80 odd, why not! Especially with Adelaide paying some of his salary too. Win win IMO.

Betts, Papley and Martin does seem a bit strange. Thought you might chase another bigger bodied mid to help Cripps out.
Reckon any punishment coming from the club for Cripps and Curnow?

Why??

When your gun forward dislocates his kneecap playing basketball with the club skipper and a couple of other players and then they put it back in, strap it up and take off to the hospital without telling the club you would think they would atleast get a stern talking to. Curnow now not able to train to Christmas time isn’t ideal

One decent year and then injured a fair bit. A lot of the so called experts rate him higher than most of our fans

I rate him, he is vital to our system and I’d hate to lose him. I just don’t think he is a star like some have been saying.

He's handy as a first goal scorer.

What am I missing?

Alex Keath is nearly 27, has played 30 games as the loose man in defence who doesn't have to pick anyone up and he's worth a 2nd rounder or better?

And that’s why the Crows didn’t want to give him 4 years
