I want a club CEO, any one of them, to come out and state players will, at that club, be expected to serve the terms of their contract out and contracted players won't be traded if they request one.

Stick it up the AFLPA for once.

I disagree there, strongly in fact. Not just in regards to Gray, by the way, but there's numerous players around the league who the club would simply not entertain trading, at any price.

Yeah fair point.
There is maybe still 4 to 5 players at each club that are ‘untouchable’ but outside that I think it’s open slather.
I think the number of untouchables at each club has reduced though over the years.
