Lets for one moment entertain the idea he doesn't find a new home, how good will that be!

He’ll retire surely

Is 30

Not with a guaranteed $1.2 million over the next couple of years

Most clubs have bigger priorities currently but come the end of trade week someone will offer up a pick in the 80’s for him and the Crows will pay some of his wage just to get rid of him

I hope he likes the sun.

Geelong wont be silly enough to pay 40% of his wage, the Suns will be silly enough to pay 75% of it.

At the end of the day the Suns will get someone with games up their sleeve and who would be keen to impress, the climate would suit him better too except the occasional monsoonal downpour that they'll get once or twice a season on game day, I'm sure he'd be "rested" on them days.

The Suns have salary cap issues, they might actually be a good fit for him.

Done deal :

TIM KELLY is officially an Eagle.

In a deal revealed by AFL.com.au, West Coast has agreed to send two first-round picks and selection No.24, plus engage in a late swap of picks for the gun midfielder from Geelong.

After a failed attempt to return home to Western Australia 12 months ago, Kelly will join West Coast on a five-year deal valued at more than $3.5m.

The Cats receive this year's picks 14 and 24 plus next year's first-round selection in exchange for Kelly, pick 57 and a future third-round selection.

The Cats have also acquired Essendon's pick No.37, with more details on the Bombers' involvement to be confirmed later.

Pick 1 is valued at 3000 draft index value points.

In this mix / trade Kelly has cost West Coast 3093 points.

If you said "Kelly is worth pick 1" yesterday most people would have agreed, fair outcome I think.

Load up on them right now.

I reckon West Coast done very well on this one, players of Kelly's calibre don't fall out of trees.
