I said the same thing as eddie though at the start of the match. If Geelong wore white shorts and collingwood black, it would not have been an issue

So Collingwood, the ‘away’ team, would have had no aspects of an away team

Finishing top 2 means nothing to Collingwood, they just need to finish top 8 and the AFL bend over :butthead: :butthead:

When you think about it it makes sense.

The only way to guarantee a reduced clash at all between Geelong and Collingwood is to wear an alternative colour which they both don't want to do (like Saints did with yellow).

The AFL would have told both these clubs they need to work it out or get a new clash strip.

The compromise was they came together and worked out if geelong wore white shorts each time as their regular jumper is predominantly white, and collingwood wore black shorts as their regular jumper is predominately black, the clash would be minimised.

Also when Crows go up to cat park, besides losing each time we usually wear our full home strip and they wear white shorts.

Apparently this Collingwood Doco tries to humanise and paint them in a less arrogant light, which so many perceive them as, then Eddie undoes it all in a 3 minute Roaming Brian spill.

I think the guernsey /shorts issue really only came to the fore because Geelong reverted back to wearing blue shorts at home this year.
Mind you I'm sure up to the late 80s it happened all the time, the only major difference being Collingwood's guernsey used to be predominately white on the back ( which would make it worse if anything you would think).
I told my missus last night to just look for the shorts and it made her job easier.

Anyway, if anyone wants to join the queue at the front bar of the Halfway Hotel to give me shit I'll be opening at 10am.

& on the win side of a lwlwlwlwl sequence.
edit - not to mention the stats from the losers of the top 4 in the 1st finals rounds record over the years

I think people are underestimating how good the Eagles are though.
