Gee someone must be bored, that was the biggest load of dribble that I nearly read all year, the headings were bad enough, the first one was ok for a bit of attempted humour, Cripps will probably win the Brownlow as Carlton win 8 games.

As for Daisy, she must be related to Jarryd and Jordan.

Hopefully Wubbsy just got lost and keeps all future boring dribble in the Sydney thread where it belongs.

I was surprised it wasn't Sydney related, there was a subtle dig at the Adelaide sides so I guess it evens out, Sydney should pretty evenly be matched with Adelaide next season though.

You mean an article about 2020 doesn't belong in the 2020 season thread???

Dayne Beams to take an indefinite break away from football.

Collingwood star Dayne Beams is stepping away from the game, to take an indefinite break.

Following discussions between Beams, Collingwood officials including medical professionals, it has been mutually agreed that Beams should step away from training and playing in an attempt to prioritise the mental health issues that he has been dealing with.

Beams had already taken a break from football during the 2019 season following season-ending foot surgery.

There is no timeframe for his return.

Beams, who returned to Collingwood at the end of 2018 after four seasons with the Brisbane Lions, is contracted for a further three seasons with the Magpies.

Collingwood will make a statement soon confirming the midfielder's decision.

Call me cynical but my first thought was a failed drug test with his rehab.
I feel sad that it was my first thought.

Very good player, played his role to perfection in a side that was a joke when he started and is now the envy of the competition.

My first though was "Richmond will miss him", but then again....they are premiers....

I bet Richmond would have liked to have know they weren't paying Rance $800k next year before the trade period.
