That's coz apart from the Broncos, they don't get crowds anyway. :P

@RoweyandBicks
Pissweak timing for Adelaide-based Swans supporters.

It will be interesting to see what the umpires dish up if there are no fans providing "noise of affirmation". Can't use the old "crowd decision by the umpires".

Teams to benefit most are those travelling to Adelaide and Perth.

Will teams have difficulty with "switching on" if there are no crowds? There would be a total lack of atmosphere, it would surely feel like a training session or something heading out onto the ground.

The AFL will come up with some canned clapping, maybe even some canned BAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLL to make the crows feel at home?

Have been watching plenty of European soccer and the intensity and passion is still there. Was a bit eerie at first but it’s great being able to hear the player interaction with other players and coaches

I think one of the local teams have a crowd soundtrack that they have played through the speakers previously.

The local side that gets an umpires ride each week like their AFL namesakes?

The real question is, if the AFL matches are played in empty grounds, what will UK Fan have to contribute on here on Monday morning? :-?

NRL will aswell, they played last night before any further information had been released. I’d say it gets canned soon

Looks like Greenberg has given the all clear for the rest of round 1. Lockouts begin next week.

Looks like no crowds at this stage.

M Pickett career crowds:
Game 1- 100,014
Game 2- 0

I doubt there will be any games
Announce no crowds today to prepare everyone gently.
Next Monday or Tuesday they will pull the pin on starting the season anytime soon
Totally ridiculous. Just close our borders FFS. Inconvienence 0.1% of the population that want to fly and let the rest of us get on with our lives.
