Just a little consistency please

I didnt mind that one just then against kelly, he went to ground and the ball got held in, that htb. But yeah bit of consistency would be nice.

I agree it was htb, but in other areas of the ground you get an eternity to get the ball out

I can handle the odd mistake, the players are in general moving the ball on now, there has been a noticeable change in the way they play. There is also more in the backs being pad for bad tackles, another good thing.

Sainters!!!

Yeah we beat a rubbish team, but it's satisfying to walk away a winner after close to a decade of drubbings here in Adelaide (and against the Crows in general). Very vocal group of St K members in the Riverbank Stand made for a great night.

The standard of umpiring was a blight on the game

That's the worst umpiring I've seen, without question.

I reckon we paid $5.50 for a 390ml coke at the SANFL games a few weeks back at Adelaide oval, I figured they were fast tracking that financial recovery.

I reckon you can sum up every single issue with having 3 umpires in the two minutes of football where the Saints player was caught holding the ball 25m out directly infront the second he picked up the football. Ball goes straight down the other end and Brad Hill gets tackled for five and half minutes only to be called a ball up.

The only question is does that level of consistency from having three umpires outweigh the extra decisions having three umpires picks up.

For me at least when you only have one or two umps they just pick the blatant free kicks up which for me is the way the game should be umpired.

Interesting point, one that @Mythical Creature brings up often in the APFL thread when they revert to 3 umpires.

We do alot of incident report writing, especially during my time at the Aquadome. Its absolutely amazing when you have an incident and you have multiple staff writing incident/witness reports how different their versions are , to the point it was almost like they were at different venues

In particularly when it comes to interpretations such as this person acted very 'aggressively' whilst another would write that the person was slightly agitated. Timeframes was another classic where one person would say the incident last one minute whilst another would say 4 minutes etc.
