Is this where, if I was an Adelaide supporter, I'd post, "Rent Free"?

I'm not, so I wont.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So you have to be one of the best players to be in the leadership group? Stupid sledge.

Fills a need on the ground as a pressure forward.

You wot mate?

Booney is obsessed with the Crows and Murphy.

How about you just concentrate on your own club mr Boon yadda yadda......

In the Reserves today:
Curtin 18 touches 10 marks
Dowling 32 touches, 190cm mid
Nankervis 25 touches
Strachan 28 hitouts
Parnell 20 touches

They all have to play next week. Gollant as well. Surely it's time to make changes.

Don't want to see anyone miss through injury for any length of time, so will resist the temptation for a cheap gag.

Poor old Crows don't have much to work with when healthy, so their injuries are adding even more challenge to a difficult season,

When do those at the club responsible for list management (and strategy behind it) come under scrutiny? Since the stupidity of the Bryce Gibbs deal they have been miles behind in either talent identification and/or player development.

They're in a bad place with the ages of their better players, and reliance upon them (Walker and Laird) and which kids in their system are genuinely exciting prospects? Where's their real star power (Oliver, Petracca, Bont, Daicos, Cripps, Neale, Butters etc)? List wise the future looks better for the Roos and Hawks as things stand, the Eagles will push for assistance in the not too distant future, then not long after there's an expansion club with all the concessions associated.

Hard to see the Crows genuinely contending again in this decade as things currently stand, so IMHO (and without knowing the quality of upcoming drafts) they need to be taking some drastic action (ie, similar to what Port did to land Rozee, Butters and Duursma in the same draft) and as immediately as possible.

After getting Dawson and Rankine in consecutive trade periods and the growth from 3 wins to 11* wins in 4 years meant the recruiting team had the blow torch removed from beneath them last year, everything seemed fine. (?)

Meanwhile Sholl, Cook, Himmelberg, Parnell, Gollant, Hamill and Schoenberg are yet to make a spot their own and probably don't have one going forward. Still plenty of the list to turn over and that's without Walker, Sloane, Smith and Laird ( 30+ ) making way.

I've been saying for a while now despite the fact the Crows will win more games than the Roos this year i would much rather be the coach of the Kangas list who imo have a lot more A.grade potential players.

No (good) key position players to defend any of the oppo key forwards makes it easy for the oppo to hit up their forwards, no Thilthorpe to take the tallest/best defender leaves Tex especially and Fog exposed on the two best defenders, Midfield have no idea who to kick it too moving forward, and Rankine/Rachele look a little lost at the moment.

I'm not blaming recruiting yet. While not ready may as well give Curtin some games down back, he cant be worse than Borlace. Some other kids (Nank?) will have a go with Milera out. at 0-3, may as well make the call on Smith now as well, and give another kid a good crack across half back but Schoenberg is not ready yet either with injury.

Is it players or coaches or both?
Hard to know if Nicks can coach so surprising he was given an extension

I think we can all see the playing group is lacking both in star power and depth.

And although it's only 3 games in the loss of last years forward coach (and I don't think there's been a replacement) James Rahilly and a revised (?) game plan looks to have made scoring much harder for them.

Senior - Nicks
Senior assistant (defence) - Burns
Midfield - van Berlo
SANFL and Development - Godden
Academy and Development - Wright
Head of Development - Bello

Himmelberg was trying to get to GWS in the trade period. Seems they only want him as a backup if there's injuries.
