Maybe, if it was 1979.

Geelong and Port both getting pumped by 10+ goals..na. Being a Saints man a dose of schadenfreude is about all I can cling to in September.

All BS aside, both games had an entertainment element to them. Two teams playing slick, attacking and skillful footy when they had ball in hand, and defensively were very difficult to penetrate* Sets it up for a cracking GF.

Its not all doom and gloom for Port

In my opinion they need a "reset" not a rebuild

have to phase out Motlop Gray Jonas Boak Dixon ( I have good mail Dixon is gone to GC)

That will leave Rozee Butters Duursma Wines Georgiades etc in their prime in 3/4 years time ready for a serious assault on a prelim loss to Carlton as they go back to back to back and Sam Walsh gets a statue outside the G
Dave Warner will be missed!

Not this one, one of my favorites

Ken Oath it is.

Very much agreed... although we coasted too much in the second half ;) Can't afford to do that against a real team like Melbourne.
Well done to the patrons of the CDFC on reaching their second grand final in five years.... something I never thought I would ever be able to say.
Would love to win it, but if we don't, will be very happy for Melbourne supporters.... after 2016, I just wanted Melbourne and St Kilda to also enjoy premiership success soon (preferably not this year now though, you Dees ;) )

Don't worry. RB will post a summary when they're done.

Tredders on 5 Double Crow: They've gotta make some tough calls.
RB: Um the coach?
Caller: 10 years with one man in charge. Our list is great. Is it time for a change?
Tredders: It's between the ears
Drunken caller: Don't mean to be emotional, but we were the best team all year, you just gotta put your head over it
Crows supporter caller: Best night ever, you guys already were in the GF in your heads, Kenny is the gift that keeps on giving
Caller: Against an unfit Bont and banged-up Dogs, you guys were terrible. Rozee had been smoking bongs out of his arse. If Kenny had any respect, he'd resign tonight.
Timmy: Thanks for that
(Then a few boring callers)
Caller: The coaching staff have to cop a bit
Tredders: The club have failed in a few big games
Wildy: wHeRe DoEs ThAt LeAvE cHrIs ScOtT
Tredders: The execution is what cost them
Boak: It was our worst performance of the year
Tredders: That's great leadership
Timmy: Seeya Boaky

The club won't have to pay for the trip to Europe now... the boys will be able to claim it on frequent flyer points: Melbourne, Launceston, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Perth... back to Melbourne.
An amazing performance to cope with all the travelling and play so well tonight. Then again, we love being underdogs and coming from behind... true Doggie style!

You are a good man, Boonie... your day of glory will come. Melbourne have waited so long for theirs, so did we.
