You should enjoy it mate, crows supporters are currently lighting up Facebook right now.

For the neutral though, this was 2 average games all done and dusted by half time.

Pretty excited by this GF, despite all the challenges 2021 has thrown up we have the two sides IMO capable of playing the best football in the land

No surprise both teams have the best midfields in the comp with a combination of accumulators, power units, speed, grunt and importantly depth. Whoever wins the clearances will win this one and Melbourne will get first crack with Gawn winning most the hit outs. Can the Dogs return serve though?

Anyone know any Dees or Dogs members that might access to a pair of GF tickets they wanna sell?

I'm not a fan of the bye idea but at least both teams have time to rest up which should make for a cracker game.
And the fact both teams didn't have to bust a gut helps as well.
I think Melbourne's midfield may run a little deeper than the doggies and where they should win it.
Employing the same tactics with schache on may or lever won't be enough.
The doggies look bloody hungry though so I wouldn't be surprised if they snuck it.

In this case it actually works well and give both sides a chance to get the best players not he deck.

Should be a cracker.

The late finals bye will last as long as the rather arbitrary 12 day concussion protocol is still in vogue.

How tasty are some of the match ups albeit they wont all play on each other

Petracca vs Bontempelli
Oliver vs MacCrae
Viney vs Liberatore
Gawn vs Martin
May/Lever vs Naughton
Langdon vs Smith
Brown vs Gardener
Pickett vs Duryea
Salem vs Johannisen/Treloar

Everything in the head says this should be an absolute cracker, epic final. For some reason the gut instinct is saying one team might blink. Whether its Melbourne being Melbourne and freezing or whether its toll of the last 4 weeks finally catching up with the Dogs.

I didn't realise this was the gambling thread!

This is hopefully going to be a cracker of a game. Arguably the two best sides in the comp all year in the big dance. I can't wait.

The questions for me - will Melbourne get the jitters or be able to hold their nerve and will the Bulldogs have played their grand finals already and get travel weariness after being on the road for the past 6 or so weeks?

ALL Victorian teams and more so their supporters always play the travel card. Imagine if they had to do it all year every year like the others. You know, the interstate teams.....

They are not digging trenches whilst sitting on a plane for an hour or two.

Fair call and let's be clear, any flight internally in Australia isn't particularly onerous.

Brisbane to Perth is fairly onerous, tbh.
It should be a great Grand Final and I feel like I can't really lose either way. I was very briefly interviewed on coming out of the MCG on that great day in 2016 and stated that the only thing that could make things sweeter was if Melbourne and St Kilda were able to break their drought and taste premiership success like we did that day. If we don't win, I will feel very happy for Melbourne supporters. My love for Central is somewhat greater than my love for the Western Bulldogs. In fact, I am a Western Bulldogs member because of their affiliation with Central; they were our foundational patron and gave us our first training kits (guernseys, shorts, socks). Having said that, I am certainly gaining a lot of pleasure of seeing the Western Bulldogs perform as they are doing. Cheers

I will have one and am not sure if going yet... however, I would only sell to someone who will support the Western Bulldogs on the day :)

If anyone is seeking a Grand Final ticket, I do have one I can access. I have decided not to go; the cost of $1 200 for airfares and accommodation is just a tad too much. I haven't actually bought a ticket so not losing anything, but do have the ability to access one. All categories are still available, ranging in price from $185 to $405.
Cheers
