Basil has tried to explain why he didn't get Simon Goodwin to say a few words after being presented with his premiership medal. Says the noise was deafening and he couldn't hear anything. Agree, if being an MC is your role, esp one with $3m viewers you think you could nail it and have it all written down and follow the script, very poor.

I thought not allowing Embley to announce the NS winner was horrible, all he did was walk up, present it and walk off.

Yes Basil stuffed it up, he stuffs up most things.

Perhaps a 30year contract with the MCC and AFL to have the GF at the MCG could be a factor as well.

Post Covid it will be normal programming again and back to the MCG whatever the cost.
