Just read it.

I wonder if they had the same view when they got Tippet through the pre season draft? Short memory.

Lienert and Woodcock axed from Port.

Bit surprising?

I'm amazed the tigers have 5 picks in the top 30, really good trade work by them. Sets them up for the future whilst also still having another crack. This something the Cats haven't quite achieved.

You think so? I don't, I reckon that list is done.

Riewoldt, Edwards, Cotchin all have their best football well behind them. Houli and Astbury retired. Martin, Grimes, Lambert all turning 30.

agree. having another crack would have been trading these picks and bringing in the 23-26 yr old established players

Atley should have been gone 2 years back, going to be a bit thin on back up ruck stocks but I guess we are backing in Goldy's durability, a few North people are shocked about Dumont but Im not, good honest role player but never hurts teams, may end up back in SA

You’ve got CCJ and Xerri as ruckmen

Yep but we usually play 2 rucks so that leaves only one back up, interesting we now have 8 spots on our list available but only 6 draft picks.

Tried flicking Xerri to St.Kilda but didn’t work out, he’s no good but with the delisting of Campbell we’re stuck with him.
Agree with your call on Atley & Dumont. I would’ve given Garner one more year.
I rate CCJ.

Anyone else surprise Dumont has been delisted.

Played 14 games last year, 99 for his career, average 20 possies/4 tackles a game, 26 years of age.

Statistically seems on par if not better than Luke Dunstan who was then picked up by the champs.

Would be surprised if Dumont doesn't get picked up by another club. Potentially Port with a very late draft pick. I know his had a few off field injuries.

A little, but no really.

At the end of this year Clurey and Jones were on the sidelines from our back half, Pasini at 192cm 85kg looks promising, Houston can role back, Bonner too, there's cover for the Lienert spot and while he was serviceable at AFL level he never took his chance.

Woodcock is behind Gray, Rozee, Butters, Fantasia and throw in Farrell, Mead and Williams and I don't see him with the tank to play midfield so he's behind most of them.

Not surprised he copped the chop at Arden St, hasn't really taken any steps forward in his game in recent seasons. Pretty sure he'll find a home though and wouldnt surprise me if it was at Port given he can play inside and find the ball.

lol, what a coup that one has turned out to be. They've still got another 2 years of paying him $600k plus to deal with too.
