I heard an analogy on radio about this type of appeal.

"It's like having a throw at the stumps from long on. Not much chance, but you have to have a go".

That makes no sense. Easy throw, 3 stumps to hit?

From LONG on.... I know I had a decent arm back in the day but I reckon it's a 1 in a 100 shot.

I suspect I'd be close to the same now. My shoulder's gone! Maybe if I underarm it and the grass is cut short, I'd make it in 3.

Patrick Cripps's appeal has succeeded and his 2 match ban has been overturned.

He is free to play this weekend.

Tonight's verdict may well be Carlton's last win for the season. :D

 should only go down by 6 goals now, they've been out of form even with him playing well.

Does the dollars & length of the contract Brodie Grundy is currently on have to stay the same if he moves clubs. Can he agree to a new contract at a different club for less money & length. Eg if his current contract has 5 more years at 1.5 million a year, can he agree to a 3 year 1 million a year contract.

Why on earth would he do that?

Because apparently he wants out of Collingwood.
I didn't ask if he should, I asked can he.
Plus, it's fair to say he hasn't performed to the standard he was at when he signed the initial 7 year deal

Sam McClure trying to remain relevant.
This muckraker should have his accreditation removed.
I wouldn't believe a thing that comes out of his mouth.

Grundy going nowhere!

Still confident in this

I'm confident Grundy and Degoey are staying.
Some in the media are saying Melbourne want Grundy.
That's surely a crock.
Yeah they look like losing Jackson but even if we did pay 300k like what's been reported, how could he fit in their salary cap.
Especially if they go on and win the premiership.

They were going to offer Jackson $750k per year, with Collingwood paying $300k per year there's your answer to the salary cap question.
Must be nice to be able throw away hundreds of thousands a year, what you still paying Treloar?

About $250k I believe.

So that could be half a mill towards rival teams' salary bills.

Ordin game now, St Kilda are not up to it. But if Max King could kick a goal before the end of the game I would very much appreciate it.
