Hard to see the Crows winning a game this year if they can't win at home with twice the frees against an ordinary team.
What a fantastic weekend of footy!

His a cracker but like the rest of them he will leave first chance he gets. I'm a fan of Nick's but our forward structure is amateur at best. When the talls constantly lead to all the wrong spots and poor little Rowe and mchenry have to make a contest for us in the forward half, easy misses at goal are very costly between that and kicking the ball to the crowd probably 5 to 6 times the skill set must improve quickly I think this team will be struggling for the remainder of this season and for a few season yet. well done to keays today incredible work ethic.

Rowe was really good today for you guys in pushing up that bit more. He makes good decisions, natural footballer so I think that was alright.

Your talls, well you need to start with something, Thilthorpe is obviously a talent and will find his place but Fogerty should have learnt some forward craft by now. So that is bit of a worry. Not sure Himmelberg is going to make it.

Walker coming back in a few weeks will just paper over these cracks.

Electronic ticketing being blamed in a lot of quarters.
I think the AFL would be reasonably happy with the first 4 games in Melbourne especially considering St Kilda and Geelong were the "home" teams in their matches.

PS I took the wife to two games so I did my bit! The atmosphere in Melbourne was awesome, the whole city was going off. Notsomuch interstate though, should have started with derbies for the interstate teams IMHO.

PPS official crowds so far:
Melbourne v Bulldogs 58.002
Carlton v Richmond 72,179
St Kilda v Collingwood 40,129 (there was virtually no tix available for this game a week out)
Cats v Essendon 54,495
GWS v Sydney 25,572
Brisbane v Port 25,100
Hawks v NM 38,270 (what happened to Hawthorns 50 gazillion members?)

Update:
Crows v Freo 28,186
WC v GC 20,932 (shit time and half capacity)

Average in Melb: 52,615
Average outside of Melb: 24,790

I went to the ticket office at the ground at 6pm and was told it was a sellout. Was there 'that' many people who were scared of going to the footy cos of Covid? I really don't understand it. I sat at a pub a stones throw away from the ground and saw all the empty seats.

I also got told after the event, that the Carlton game had 80k tickets sold. Seems odd that about 8k just wouldn't show.

Thilthorpe is probably our only tall forward that can put something of what is considered pressure on. Fogarty, Himmelberg & Walker are just too easy to get around. We really can't have afford to have 3 of them in the forward line at the same time. Have we tried Fogarty down back ever, could be an option on opposition big slow forwards

Yep, until the end of 2025.

Maybe he will leave at the second chance he gets?

I think Adelaide are arguing the action was created when he was dragged off him. It looks very minor either way and if that is one game these days, good luck to all players.
