Bull shit, Nothing wrong with the assessing in the ED that's done within four hours

Horseshit, Ports doc can assess in 4 minutes
Complete horseshit.

When was she last time you went to the ED and saw a doctor within 8 hrs let alone 4 hrs.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

The AFL has reviewed the Jonas and Butters collision and is satisfied @PAFC “complied with AFL’s concussion guidelines in the management of the players.”

So STFU.

Was it ever going to be any different?
Even if found guilty, what's the point in fining a club that has no money and you're bailing out constantly...like giving yourself a fine.

Why don’t independent doctors make the assessment and final call so the club doctor doesn’t have too?
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Suggesting in 2022 that doctors, whether affiliated with a club or otherwise, would over see an intentional disregard for concussion is absurd and if done in writing bordering on defamatory.

The comment about 2016 is valid...Ken is defending a club dr who has cleared a player incorrectly before with a concussion.
But the rest is trolling 100% cause I hate Port.

Everything you have said is 100% correct, however now there is a head clash this weekend in local footy, there will be doubt cause at the highest level 2 players were still OK to play. Its the optics it delivers that it may still be OK to play a player in the lower leagues after a head clash.

The message the game is trying to (rightfully) spread is not helped with last nights decisions. The AFL need to come out and support and explain the decision ASAP if it was the correct call.

Its simple really mate, head knock in community footy you're off.

Head knock at State league or AFL level, get assessed by the credentialed medical professional at the ground and make an informed clinical assessment as to if the player can continue or needs to stay off.

No confusion at all.

If it was that simple there would be no confusion, head knocks are still assessed by trainers at grass roots level who are making the same calls as the AFL doc's.

“The Chief Medical Officer has reviewed the HawkEye vision of the collision last night between Port Adelaide players Jonas and Butters. He has also reviewed the management of the players at the time including the sideline assessment and HawkEye evaluation by the club doctors,” the statement read.

“Ultimately, there was no clinical indication of concussion that warranted further investigation and testing, thus the club doctors allowing both players to return to the field.”

But, that was always going to be the case. You know, given the AFL aren't particularly interested in concussion at the moment and, you know, would jump at an opportunity to remind clubs of their duty of care. Nah, always going to be this.
