Spurr played for Centrals but was a recruit from Morningside in Queensland. He even went back to Queensland after playing a full year in the ressies, got convinced to come back to SA and then played the great year of SANFL league footy that saw him get drafted.

Brad Gwilliam was 119.

Begovich 117
Gwilliam 118

Post Draft picks came after the end of the National Draft, and as they were all WCE they picked the three.

Most sites rank them in order of games played hence why they have Kemp 117 and Gwilliam at 119

I know Taylor Walker was from Broken Hill but was he playing at Norwood before he was drafted to the Crows, or did he end up at Norwood via the old mini draft.

Hird at 79

Noticing a lot of the decent names in the 100's-70's are players from over 10 years ago..

Is it a case of clubs having better scouting networks etc these days so good players just cant be hidden as easily in a by gone era.

Ok that makes sense because my recollection was from the moment he got to Norwood he was gun.....albeit there was a period where they didn't know if he was a forward or a defender.

Would have been surprised if he slipped to 70's based on what he did at Norwood.

All first listed players, Houlahoops or Tuck is debatable as is Williams and Suckling, Williams was better for longer, the baby pig was a bit of a flash in the pan.
