Carlton were in the top 8 after every round except the last this season.

The last team to do that was... Carlton in 1977.

Personally I'm not too concerned about setting this record.

Continuity in our backline and midfield group is the key. We weren't going to do too much damage in September despite losing two close ones in two weeks. Our form against the top 8 sides was promising but not great - so missing out hopefully gives us drive over the pre-season for next year.

And learning how to defend a lead would be nice too. Basic, basic errors during those leads will haunt us going into next season.

The guys on Bounce, especially Andrew Gaze getting stuck into Carlton finishing ninth was pretty funny.

What I hate about modern football is that blokes can run around being mouthy with very little repercussion.

The game has moved forward for the better but it is a shame blokes cant belt someone like him running his mouth.
