Brisbane have picks 14 (1161 points), 33 (563), 44 (362) and 69 (49) - 2135 points. Probably get end of round 3 compensation for McStay. Around 500 points - 2635.

If as expected Will Ashcroft is called at pick 1, that equates to 3000 points. They don't even have enough for him let alone getting Dunkley in.

They'd be into a deficit for next year ( spending 3000 and only having 2635 ) and would lose a late 2023 pick. So, who do they send to the Dogs?

Interesting watch.

D.Robertson will go to WC for either 26,38 or Amon pick when Port trade it for Willie.

Both Browns gone from collingwood.
Along with Chugg and McMahon.
I reckon Tyler could be great, hopefully we can keep him on as a rookie?

Gold Coast's Jack Bowes has two years left on a deal signed at the end of 2019, with money pushed to the back end of his deal reports are he's owed $850k per year for the next two years.

Gold Coast, to dump that salary, are prepared to give another club Jack Bowes, pick 7 and pay some of his salary.

If Bowes agrees that $1.7m could be spread over 3 years by extending his deal.

How bad are Gold Coast at managing things?

He wants to get to Geelong.
A great trade period if they get pick 7, Bruhn, McKenna and Henry

How else do you attract players to GC....unless its either huge coin, or long term contracts.
Just fold them ffs.

What are Brisbane going to need draft pick wise to attract both Dunkley and Gunston.

Any players of worth that teams could try and lure away

Gunston would be nothing. Pick in the 80s.
Dunkley is the one that I can't see how they get it done. would be a 1st and 2nd you'd think with pick swaps as well

Gunston is unrestricted free agent so there's no trade needed.

As for Dunkley, Brisbane are the ones to watch this trade period. They don't have enough points for Ashcroft ( F/Son who has nominated them ) if he gets called at pick 1 as it is, let alone enough to get Dunkley.

They'll get end of 2nd rounder for McStay ( to Collingwood ) but that still isn't enough to match pick 1 ( Ashcroft ) points.

They'll be having a fire sale late.

I didnt realise about Gunston but yeah thought a smart club might be able to lure a decent player at a reasonable cost.

Lions could offer a future first plus something for Dunkley and then just go into deficit for Ashcroft.
North were weak last year in not bidding so I can’t see them bidding on Ashcroft and likewise Hawks or GWS. I’d suspect we will bid on him at 4

They'll throw a late round pick at the hawks so it doesnt dilute their McStay compo pick.

Sad to see Gunners move on. Seems we've ripped the bandaid almost totally off for the rebuild with him and possibly Mitchell out.
