As you note, JHF, Rozee and Butters are the now and the future of the Port midfield, not sure we needed to play them in there at the expense of Wines though.

You need at least 6 mids (excluding the wings) anyway in todays game, incredible Wines wasn't part of that rotation and actually brings something different to stoppages.

Any club would look at Duursma but not sure about an ageing and slow Wines.

Play Wines in the middle and not on the wing and he wouldn't look either.

Agree.
Won a Brownlow as an inside mid not a running wingman

Port Adelaide great Travis Boak has just finished his exit interview, saying it was “a positive conversation” and that there’s optimism about a deal for 2024.

Admits there’s a bit to consider - whether to play on or not, but more positive now about next year.

That reads:
Heavily reduced contract.
Take it or leave it.

Absolutely it does, little surprise given he's 35 and he wouldn't be shocked by that.

Apparently put to bed the idea of playing anywhere else, too.

Assuming it was the Messiah-in-waiting Josh Carr's decision to move him out there?

Not sure if it's been posted already:

Port Adelaide foursome Riley Bonner, Trent Dumont, Brynn Teakle and Nathan Barkla will not be offered contracts for the 2024 season.

Was a Cat B rookie (Indigenous and multicultural players through their Next Generation Academy zones). Was a WWT junior from Port Districts. Was quite good at u/18 level.

Not a league standard footballer yet.

Every list needs an old pro running around in the 2s. Mayes before him played a role and at times Dumont played a role at AFL last year. No surprise he's no longer on the list, probably a year too long.

In the player reviews for Port in todays paper, they were eluding to Sam Hayes potentially leaving after seen carrying a big garbage bag full of gear after exit meeting. Not sure if they are reading too much into it, but I guess if club is looking at two rucks in the trade market, something has to give.
