When they slowed it right down and magnified it last night there is no way you could prove that he scartched, gouged or anything like that, his thumb and index finger are extended and no where near the eye, the other 3 fingers are tucked and in the eye region but there is no motion. I think he gets off. Pedlar doesnt go for his eye afterwards, shows no dissatisfaction towards Zorko, its pure guess work from Christian, Unless Pedlar has said otherwise.
