Lions by 52 - reckon the last two weeks have taken it out of Carlton, and four changes is too many and will disrupt. Combine that with Brisbanes dominance at home and reckon this will blow out.
Collingwood by 21 - Just a bit better than GWS and at home with 90 of the 95k supporters will get it done.

Without checking stats, there always seems to be one close Prelim and one blow out.

Then the following week the team that scrapes thru with the tough Prelim goes on to be Premiers.

See if that theory comes true :D

OK, did some checking from last 10 years to check my memory.

These two seasons are the only ones that went the other way. Four years there was no close Prelims.

But four of the last ten years my theory stands up.

2020 Richmond (6 points) beat Geelong
2016 Bulldogs (6 points) beat Sydney
2014 Hawthorn (3 points) beat Sydney
2013 Hawthorn (5 points) beat Fremantle

Plenty of other examples where the team which has struggled through or had it's backs to the wall at some stage in the prelim has come through and won the final:
Adelaide 1997
Port 2004
West Coast 2006
Geelong 2007
2003 Brisbane and 2005 Sydney, scores were close at three quarter time of the prelim

2000, 2009, 2011 & 2012 are some the other way over the last 25 years

Brisbane comfortably.

Collingwood. GWS have a chance if they can tidy up that one fumble or one handball too many when they are moving through the middle, and they got away with it against lesser opposition than the pies.

My Friday Forecast -

* Toby Green kicks 4
* Tom Green has leather poisoning
* Maynard exudes flog behaviour
* Umpires favour Collingwood, but the boos ring out
* Nick Daicos returns in fine form
* Collingwood by 22pts
* Attendance 96,548

*My Friday Forecasts have been more like a kiss of death this season.

Well I thought tonight would be the pick of the 2 matches.
Thought GWS capable of an upset.
But more I think about it the more I see Collingwood winning by an easy 7 goals
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!
