Collingwood defender John Noble has today informed the Club of his request to be traded to a team outside Victoria.

The 27-year-old arrived at Collingwood at pick 14 through the 2019 Mid-Season Draft and is contracted with the Club until the end of 2026.

Collingwood Head of Football Strategy, Innovation and List Management Justin Leppitsch said:

“John today informed us he would like to explore a trade ahead of next season to be closer to family.

“Whilst John is contracted, we understand the importance of family and will take this into consideration as we work through the trade period.”

AFL website says he wants to go to the Gold Coast. Not sure that's a great idea with his complexion...

He's 6'6 with a decent kick

As Dan Gorringe put it, if you're a midfielder you have 2 years to prove you can play at AFL level. If you're 200cm, you have 8 years to prove you can't.

I saw Baldwin do his knee the first time, there was nothing in it and he just crumbled. Think he's one of those players whose body just isn't up to the rigours of AFL footy

I think either way the Pies take it. Not sure he's the solution to their forward line, though

He'd readily replace Murphy, and an aging Howe across half back.

I'm not sure he'd play forward when checkers and mcstay are fit.
