Sobering facts about the AFL draft

On average:

1721 players register for the draft each year
74 players are selected
54 will play fewer than 30 games

Between 1887 and 2001, 11154 players have played at least one league game.

29.3% (3,256) of all players played at least 50 games
14.8% (1,648) played at least 100 games
6.8% (753) played at least 150 games
2.7% (301) played at least 200 games
1% (107) played at least 250 games
0.4% (40) played at least 300 games
